Uh-Oh Mommy & Daddy Are In Trouble!

Our friend Katie's sister and her little boy came to visit last week. Her little boy, James, was born only 2 days before Emma! Since James doesn't go to daycare we decided to let them play a little bit. Emma loved James! They were so incredibly cute together and I wanted so bad to bring James to our house. James loved Emma's helmet and he kept putting his fingers in the holes on top. At one point he kissed her hand too. Oh dear, it starts early! We had so much fun and I really hope Katie's sister doesn't mind that I posted these pics.

Also a couple weeks ago George's Aunt Patsy and Uncle Dennis came to visit from New Mexico. They were meeting some friends in Chattanooga but took a detour to come meet Emma. We were so happy to see them b/c it had been forever! Come back soon Patsy and Dennis...we miss you!

Emma's 9 Month Pediatrician Appt!

Today we saw Dr. Dudley for Emma's big 9 month appt. She now weighs a whopping 13 lbs 2.5 oz and is 25 inches long! Dr. Dudley is impressed with her stats. No shots today so that was a great thing! We talked about solids alot. Emma has already been eating some fruits and tonight we started squash. She loved it! She ate the entire container in one sitting...wowser! Then she managed to scarf down 4 oz after that. Can we say oink oink?! We are however very saddened to lay bananas to rest after falling in love with their yummy flavor. They cause too much drama in our household and mommy and daddy can't bear another minute with them and their horrible side effects. RIP bananas...you will always have a place in Emma's heart but not in her stomach...or for a few more months at least. :)

In other news mommy now has her hands full! Emma has mastered rolling or whatever it is that she does all over the living room floor. I swear she never does anything until I turn my head and then BAM, where did she go? Oh she's over behind the TV stand eating cords...j/k! She's a fast little booger and I kind of hope she doesn't master crawling anytime soon. I would like to have a few natural brown hairs on my head. This week she also loves to push herself up on her arms and then roll over and do it again. It's so cute. She's also sitting up for a few seconds and it won't be long until she is a pro. If only that cute little belly wasn't in her way. :)

I guess that's all for now. Princess is asleep, daddy is ironing shirts, mommy is drinking coffee and surfing the net, and I've got a full belly. It doesn't get much better than that!

No More Oxygen!!!

We went to the pulmonologist last Thursday, November 1st and Emma is now OFF O2! We saw Dr. Mahesh b/c Dr. Judy was on vacation. At our last visit the nurse told me that she would probably get to come off of it this month so I was kind of prepared until they told me to turn her off. I was like "huh?" And then I said "I don't know how to turn it off!" I was just so nervous/excited and we Dr. Mahesh said take the canula out we are turning it off I just wanted to start crying, but I held it together. My little princess is growing up...fast!

At the appt she weighed 12 lbs 12 oz so she is probably 13 lbs now or close to it. She got her 2nd flu shot while we were there and her RSV shot that she gets every 28 days.

Some other super exciting news...we made our appt at the same time as our best NICU friend Ella Grace, and it was so wonderful to see her and her mom & dad. I took pics but I haven't asked her mom's permission to post them on here so if she says it is ok, I will post some. Ella and Emma look so much alike and then spent part of their NICU experience living in incubators beside each other. Her mom, Kylie, delivered her at 28 wks and she had preeclampsia just like me. We also share the same OBGYN so it's kind of neat to have so much in common. Both girls came home on oxygen/apnea monitors and Ella is 14 lbs so they are close in size.

Overall last week was super busy, but full of wonderful things. In case anyone is wondering, I lost almost 4 lbs at weight watchers and I'm hoping to lose at least 2.5 this week. I'm feeling good about my weight loss and hope to lose 20 more lbs.

HAPPY BELATED HALLOWEEN!

Emma was a purple butterfly for Halloween and she was so cute! We stayed home and handed out some candy to our 15 trick or treaters and that's about it.

P is for PRUNES! Yummy!

The past few days Emma has been having some constipation trouble so after a fun Saturday night of horrific screaming and waking up at 9am to the same horrific screaming, I decided to call the dr! The juice didn't work, the suppository didn't work, but guess what did??? Prunes! Way to go prunes, you rock! :) Actually she had success before the prunes, but I still want to give them credit. So in 25 years when Emma ask what her 1st food was I can tell her good 'ol prunes. She LOVED them! In 2-3 days we plan on trying some sweet potatoes which daddy is really excited about b/c he loves them. It is so exciting to be starting this new phase and I feel like my sweet angel is growing up so fast! That's all for now...thanks for tuning in to the Titsworth's on this lovely Sunday evening.
