Miracle Bash!

This weekend was the Swim For Melissa Fundraiser and the Miracle Bash. Thanks to a generous donation from Aunt Margaret we were able to go to the Miracle Bash on Friday night with another preemie mom! The Bash was held at the Westin which is amazingly beautiful and I also learned that "casual" dress attire means you better wear a nice dress and fix your hair and makeup! Thanks Grammy for clearing that up. :)

The event was completely sold out and I don't know the exact number but there must have been at least 500 people. The food was yummy especially the chocolate covered strawberries! They also had a band which was awesome.

Here's some pics from the Bash. They had pictures of preemie babies on each table and around the room. As soon as we walked in we saw Emma's picture and it was so sweet.

Here is me and Kylie (the preemie mom). She is so incredibly sweet and I'm so glad she could join us. Her daughter Ella Grace, weighed in around 1 lb 11 oz (can't remember exactly) but she also spent 3 months in the NICU and had the same breathing problems as Emma.

George and I
Proud mommy!
Amy & Chris George who started the Melissa George fund. They are really sweet people and have done so much for our NICU in the past 2 years. Thank you Amy & Chris!
Dr. Davison joining them onstage.
Dr. Morris, Dr. Novak, Dr. Davison
Jennifer Godwin and Lynn Lee of the NICU surprising Amy with a beautiful picture.

I've got lots more pics to share, but give me time to post them. Emma doesn't like mommy to play on the computer all day so we'll see how long it takes. :)

Look How Pretty!

A couple of weeks ago Princess Emma received a package from Aunt Margaret and Lizzie! She was so excited. Lizzie had found this beautiful handmade dress that fits Emma perfectly. I love all of the designs at the bottom and anything that is handmade is super special. Thank you girls for thinking of Miss Emma! They also got her a bunny purse and a heart shaped purse. She knows exactly what to do with them already. We put her bracelets in her purse and she puts it on her shoulder and says "bye bye." Of course, the heart shaped purse drags the ground behind her but they are both so cute. Thanks sooooo much! We love you all and can't wait to see you! :)

Emma was not cooperating for pictures. She wanted to see her Ru-Rus on the computer and I was making her stand for pics. Drama, drama, drama!

Point Mallard Water Park!

This morning my friend Ashley and I took Emma to an awesome water park in Decatur. I can't believe I've never been before and the best part was it was only $8! They had a huge kids area that was so much fun and Emma had a blast! She is crazy about water, seriously. We spent about 2 hours there and Emma was ready for a nap & Ashli needed to study so we left around lunchtime. I can't wait to go back! Also, Emma got body slammed by some little big girl and her eye is puffy and she has a mark underneath the eye and right above it. The girl just pushed Emma's head into the ground and took off. I was not a happy mommy and Emma started screaming. Shame on that girl. :(

When we got home a few minutes ago Emma started taking care of her babies...

Putting the babies down for a nap...

Emma's black eye! Doesn't she look exhausted?

Whoops! Wrong Video Earlier...

That's what happens when I try to upload a video and eat ice cream at the same time. :) Ice cream just takes over my world.

So you just get an extra old video to go with the new one. Once again, Happy Sunday!

Lovely Laughter

This morning I was cleaning the kitchen and Emma had been a little stinker by feeding Braxton most of her breakfast. So anyways, mommy was a little frustrated. All of a sudden I hear Emma cracking up around the corner. I run in the living room to see what's so funny and she was acting like a puppy with Braxton. So cute! Then she stands up and Braxton starts running around like crazy and Emma just kept giggling at him. I had to grab the camera and only got a few seconds before my battery died. Happy Sunday!

Spaghetti-O's!

Oh Dear...

Baby Love

So it's no secret that Emma loves her babies. This video is from a few months ago (who knows how long ago) but once again, it just got off the camera. I believe it was before she was walking full time b/c she is crawling and not talking as much as she is now. Anywho, it is super cute as always. Enjoy your 3rd video of the day! I'm on a roll.

"One, Two, Three!"

So have I mentioned how smart the princess is?? Well in case you didn't know, this little lady is so incredibly smart that I think she's going to be the next Einstein, just prettier with great hair! When Kelsey was here a couple of weeks ago she was able to get Emma to say "one, two, three" all by herself and now Emma says it all the time! She can even count crackers, cheerios, and other things up to 3! She amazes me everyday. I know it's hard to hear but listen closely. She says it more clearly these days so maybe I can catch it again on video. Enjoy!

Whoa Nelly!

This video is from a couple of months ago but I finally got it off my camera! One night George decided to take Emma for a spin and she was laughing so hard until I got the camera out. It always happens that way I guess. Anyways, it was so cute!

Also, no babies or pets were harmed during the making of this film. :)
