So Much Sweetness!

After dinner tonight Emma wanted to lay down with baby Hudson and take a nap. Well she didn't really take a nap but she pretended. :) They were talking about sleeping and taking naps on Yo Gabba Gabba. Anywho, she loves her baby brother so much and I thought these pictures were just so cute of the two of them.

I love H's little grin on his face! I wish I knew what he was thinking.

Don't you just love the spaghetti face? My 2 sleeping angels. :)

In other news H is 3 weeks old today! I can't believe it has been 3 weeks already and I know time will continue to fly by. He is just too precious for words!

My Babies!

Mr. H was sleeping so sound and cute last night! He always looks so peaceful!

My beautiful princess! Today Emma and Mommy went shopping together and she sported her new Christmas jacket that Gabby bought her. I LOVE this picture but it makes her look so grown up.

Everything is going good in our little world. I survived my first full day alone with both kids on Friday. It wasn't bad at all! Hudson still sleeps the majority of the day so he isn't very high maintenance yet. Right now we are just trying to get ready for Christmas and looking forward to Daddy being off work that week!

Pics!

So Aunt Margaret sent Emma a Wooden Advent Puzzle that is super cool and she has really enjoyed opening each box everyday. Well today's item was princess tattoos! Emma has never had those before so she kept calling them boo boos. As of right now she has a Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and Tinkerbell on her and Mommy is wearing a Tinkerbell on my hand too. :) She loves these things!

Attempting to show off her tattoo for me...

And of course, Mr. H sleeping as usual. Last night he had a rough night...probably the worst night since we've been home but he's all worth it. :)

"Mom, enough with the pictures!" Emma used to always give me the hand in face look too.

Baking Cookies With Gabby!

Gabby is known for her famous M&M cookies and Mommy has tried to make them but they just don't work out for me for some reason. So Gabby said she would let Emma help her make them tonight. Emma LOVES cookies and really LOVES M&Ms! Here are a few pics of Emma helping Gabby make the cookies.

I walked in the kitchen and they were both eating brown sugar!

Pouring in the vanilla...

Go mixer go! We want cookies!

Can you tell that we are all having so much fun with Gabby here? Tonight she made us a yummy dinner of minute steak, mashed potatoes, peas, and Sister Schubert rolls! Now we are going to have cookies! She sure is spoiling us. :)

Hudson's 2 Week Pedi Checkup

Today we took Hudson to Dr. Dudley's office for his 2 week checkup. In the past week he has gained 9 oz! He went from 6 lb 5 oz to 6 lb 14 oz and his length was 20 1/4 inches. That means he has grown over 2 inches in 2 weeks! We've noticed that his newborn diapers are getting tighter and his newborn onesies are tight. Everything else was good. They rechecked his PKU but it takes awhile to get the results back. Overall it was a great appointment.

Today was also George's first day back to work in over 2 weeks but I managed just fine until Gabby arrived. Since Hudson sleeps so much still it is rather easy but I'm sure things will get more challenging when he starts waking up more. The only hard thing right now is trying to breastfeed, then supplement with a bottle, and then pump. It is rather time consuming and I can't exactly help Emma during that time. The only real challenge is when she has to go potty while I'm in the middle of feeding and I'm terrified she will have an accident but so far she's done okay.

Uncle Arnold!

Uncle Arnold decided to come down and visit baby Hudson today. We were so happy to see him b/c it feels like forever since we've seen him. He is always working when we go up to TN. Emma really enjoyed his visit and I think baby Hudson liked him too. :)

For the first time since going to the hospital I got out and drove to Babies R Us with Emma and to Starbucks. We had a good time getting out of the house. I snapped this picture right before we left. This seems to be her signature smile these days!

Uncle A holding Hudson for the very first time! Please excuse his nonmatching clothes!

I thought this was sooo sweet!

Uncle A with both of my sweet little babies!

Thanks for driving all the way down here Uncle Arnold and we hope you will come back soon! Next time stay just a little bit longer!

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Yesterday morning we got snow!!! Not that much but it was still super exciting. Around 4am while I was up with Hudson I had to let Braxton out when I first noticed it. It took all I had not to go and wake up Emma and George. I finally decided against that! After Emma woke up George took her out to play in it and took some cute pics. Enjoy!

I couldn't have a post without H! I think he looks rather cute in green! Let me just tell you that he is such a sweet sweet baby. He will be 2 weeks tomorrow and he very rarely cries. He only cries when he's hungry and then it isn't much. Love him to death!

This morning Emma wanted to hold baby brother so I had to snap a pic. She's still so good with him.

Some New Pics

On Wednesday night our friends Jessica and Cassie came over for a visit with their little ones. Jessica had Miss Hayden 1.5 weeks before Hudson was born and Cassie has an 8 month old named Kynsleigh. Hudson slept through most of the visit while Hayden decided to grace me with a dirty diaper as soon as I started holding her! She was much more alert than Hudson but Hudson is starting to become more alert each day. They are future boyfriend/girlfriend. :)

Check out this position! Doesn't look comfortable does it? This was Wed night at 9 days old.

Yesterday Gabby & Ru-Rus came back down to help watch the kids while George took me to the doctor and to run a few errands. I believe it was Ru-Rus's 1st time holding Hudson. I think he likes him!

And this is from a few minutes ago in the swing at 11 days old. He has been much more alert & awake today and his so incredibly cute! He is such a good baby so far and I'm loving the newborn stage that we missed out on with Emma. Last night he only woke up to eat at 11:30pm, 3:30am, and then at 7am! It was awesome!

Close up!

Tonight we might take Emma to the Botanical Gardens to drive through and see the lights. We've always wanted to go but never have. Then on Monday Hudson goes back to the pediatrician for his official newborn visit and then George is back to work. :( I dread him going back to work but I think Gabby is going to come back down and help me out with the munchkins. I sure will need it!

New Pics

Last night Mrs. Tracy and Barbra came over for a visit and brought Emma a new fairy princess costume. She loves it b/c she feels like Abby Cadabby (Sesame Street)! She was twirling around for us earlier and using her magic wand on Braxton. :)

Last year we got Emma a cute little Christmas tree of her own to put in her bedroom. I got it for a great price at Hobby Lobby. Last night we put it in her room with some really cool lights & let her decorate it. It is the perfect size for her. We also got her some Sesame Street ornaments from the HH gift shop last week that she LOVES!

Putting Cookie Monster on top!

My friend Ashli also came over yesterday with Starbucks Vanilla Lattes for me and George...gotta love her! She came by to visit Mr. Hudson and he woke up while she was visiting. He sleeps so much so I was happy that he woke up for her.

Sweet Emma

So last night Hudson had woke up so Emma went with me to get him out of the bassinet. I picked him up and we were walking back into the living room and Emma is bouncing alongside me and says "Mommy, thank you for giving me baby Hudson" in her sweet little Emma voice and I about died. She is so thoughtful and is so sweet to her baby brother. Now we'll see if she says the same thing when they are teenagers. :)
