I Told You She Was Smart! And Quite Funny Too!

So a few days ago Emma learned to count to 10!!! Can you believe it? Our little miracle that fought so hard to live and now at 19 months old she can count to 10! Words can't describe how happy and proud I am of her. She has such a bold personality too and George and I find ourselves laughing at her constantly.

I tried my best to get the counting on tape but she wasn't cooperating as usual! She said some numbers and hopefully I can get them all in order over the next couple of days. I think she is camera shy tonight. :) Also, she tends to leave out the numbers 6 & 9 for some reason. What a character! Anywho, here is some amazingly cute video!

Our New Twin Friends-Addie and Alex!

A few weeks ago Jennifer contacted me after finding my blog. Jennifer and her husband Dale recently moved here from St. Louis. They have the cutest, sweetest, and most content little babies on the earth and we got the chance to have dinner with them tonight! I've been chatting with Jennifer for awhile now so I feel like I've known her forever, but it was our first time meeting in person. We had a wonderful dinner at Rosie's and can't wait to do it again. Of course, I've got several pics of the kiddos so enjoy!

Addie being shy! Look at her big blue eyes. Jennifer let me hold her and she is so sweet! I just love them to death!

Emma with her new man...I think she really likes Alex! She kept rubbing his hair and saying "pretty". Really fascinated with him.

I thought this pose was cute of Emma with Addie! Look at her feet turned up.

Emma and the twins!

Look how content they are!

Here is Emma petting Alex. Addie doesn't know what's going on!

Too cute for words!

And then she goes in for the kiss! Oh dear, we are in trouble!

And sweet Addie just being a babydoll.

Thank you Jennifer and Dale for having dinner with us and putting up with Emma's screaming! Your day is coming dear friends. :) Bloggers, here is the link to their blog-http://addieandalex.blogspot.com/

Red Bwoon (As Emma Says)

Today we met Daddy at Rosie's for some awesome fajitas and Emma got her a bwoon! She's carried that bwoon everywhere today. Also, thanks to Carly Frounfelker, Emma is wearing a cute ladybug dress. Carly bought it for her 1st birthday and she can now wear it. Thank you Ms. Carly! :) Also, she is wearing her 2nd pair of new shoes today. When we went to Florida earlier this year Gabby bought Emma these Keds at the Stride Rite outlet. She was all decked out for our trip to Maggie Moo's tonight.

And a special thanks to Jamie at Bows 2 Cute http://bows2cute.com/ for the adorable ladybug hair clip. For Emma's 1st bday she sent her several little button clips that were so cute and they stay in her hair so well! Thank you Jamie!

An Oldie But A Goodie

I think this was the first time Emma wore her signature shirt. Actually it was more of a dress back then! Thank the lord for no more oxygen!

As Requested...

I've had some request for new pictures today so here they are! They are not very good but at least you get to see the Princess. And she's sporting her signature shirt! :) Thanks Gabby. I think she's starting to grow into it.

I took her outside a few minutes ago hoping to get some decent outtakes, but she wasn't digging it. So here are some strange faces.

This is her Elvis look.

The "stare" that she kept giving me for like 5 pictures!

"Mom this sun is B-R-I-G-H-T!

And her new New Balance shoes!! Aren't they adorable? And they are velcro!

Poor Baby...

As if she wasn't having a bad enough day already! Poor Emma has had a rough day today with the fever, finger pricking, and now this. She's been so clumsy today for some reason and tonight daddy was playing with her and without even touching her she fell backwards into the wall. She cried for a couple minutes and then I asked her if she wanted a bath and she was all better. :) Then I had to take pics of it and Emma kept saying "cheese!" What a trooper! It does look really bad and we've cleaned it but I'm afraid to put a band-aid on it b/c of her hair. What do you think?

Surgery Was A Success!

My pa had his surgery today and it went well. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers! He is now in ICU and hopefully he will get to go home tomorrow night.

Granny, be sure and tell Pa that I'll post some new Emma pics when he gets home so it'll lift his spirits! :)

Also, I took Emma to the dr today b/c she's had a cough for several days, minor diarrhea, fever, runny nose, etc and turns out it is just a "bug." When we got to the room the nurse said everyone that has walked through the door has had it. So far she hasn't had a fever since this morning so lets hope she's at the end of it. I also have to add that they checked her white blood count and the nurse had to prick her finger. Emma sat there so still and did not cry one bit while she squeezed the blood out. Isn't she so strong?! Gotta love my little princess. :)

Our Weekend In Nashville!

On Friday Emma and I made the trip to Nashville to see our cousins Monya and Melica. They are the sweetest girls and so much fun to be around. They are incredibly well-behaved and super artistic.

Anyways, we had a wonderful time and played really hard. On Friday night we had pizza and stayed at the house. Then on Saturday we went to Greenhills Mall and then went ice skating! Both girls have been taking ice skating lessons and they are getting good! They were skating laps around me at the rink and I was moaning and groaning that my ankles hurt. I'm getting too old. :( I also have to add that Melica makes a yummy chocolate cookie from Rachel Ray's recipe. She won 3rd place out of several classrooms at the Dickson fair. We are so proud of you Melica! They tasted awesome!

On Sunday we got up and went to church with them. Emma was getting antsy in the beginning so I took her outside and then we found the nursery so she played in there for the remainder of church. She is at that toddler stage where she refuses to sit still and will let you know about it. :)

Overall we had a blast and can't wait to visit them again. Although next time we will board up both sets of stairs! Emma almost drove me crazy repeatedly going up one set of stairs and then down the other. Thankfully the girls helped her up and down the whole time which really helped. Now on to the pics!

The girls being silly!

Baby Melica in her highchair. Wait, that's Emma's high chair!

Too funny!

Monya, the next Van Gogh. She is so amazing when it comes to artsy stuff!

Melica relaxing on the couch.

Monya and Emma...Emma wouldn't smile for anything!

Emma playing...I wanted to show off her long hair and the cute curls!

Not long after we got there Emma kept trying to escape my barricades so she could go up the stairs. She's one smart cookie.

Good pic

Thank you Aunt Marsha, Uncle Jim, Monya, and Melica for opening up your house to us and all of our toys. We had sooooo much fun and can't wait to come back! Aunt Marsha, you are such a wonderful cook and look forward to your spaghetti casserole tonight for dinner. Love you all!

Random Labor Day Weekend Pics

Here are some of the few pictures we took last weekend. I had big plans to take lots of pics but I guess I wasn't feeling it. Sometimes I get so frustrated chasing Emma around trying to get a decent pic! I never even took pics of my family visit. I'm slacking I know!

The Ikester sporting his new hair do thanks to Ru-Rus

Daddy and Emma jammin on the drums. The girl has some rhythm!

So cute!

So Emma and Uncle Rob have a love/hate relationship. She loves him from a distance and will talk about him all day, but when he comes near her she freaks! This past weekend she actually warmed up to him and realized that he's not so bad. :)

On Sunday night we went to the lake and ate at the Boatdock. The kiddos had fun feeding the ducks and I was jealous we didn't have a boat. I love going out on the lake! We had a great dinner with George's family.

I'm in big trouble for posting this but it was funny. Who knows what they are looking at!

Cute one of Aunt Beth and the Ikester!

We Are Back!

Sorry for the long delay in post but we've been in TN since last Thursday. We went up there for Labor Day and got to visit with our old friends and lots of family. I always get a little homesick after going up there but it did feel good to get home yesterday morning.

Last Tuesday Emma had her 18 month appt and I forgot to mention her stats.

Weight-21 lbs 4 oz Wowsers!
Length-32 inches Double Wowsers!

Dr. Dudley was really impressed with her as usual and had the best things to say about Emma. Once again, I lied to my sweet baby thinking she wouldn't have to get any shots, but wouldn't you know, she had to get 2. :( It was pitiful but she only cried for a second. As she gets older the shots definitely get harder for Mommy. But she behaved so well and I was so incredibly proud of her!

Now onto some sad news. My pa (mom's dad) had a quadruple bipass a couple of years ago. I found out yesterday that his big vein in his neck is now clogged so they have to do surgery to clean it out. I haven't heard when the surgery is but if you could keep my pa and our family in your thoughts we would sure appreciate it!

That's all I've got for now. We are getting ready to head to the grocery store once Miss Priss wakes up from her nap. Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend and I'll post some pics soon.
